Maggie L Coleman, age 81, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona. Magie was born February 7, 1931 in Gilliam, Louisana to Lucinda Murray-Hughes and Tom Hughes. In 1952, Maggie moved to Yuma, Arizona and then relocated to Phoenix in 1970 where she resided until her passing. She was a long time member of the Helping Hand Club in Yuma, Arizona. She united in Christ at an early age and while living in Yuma she became a member of Phillips Chapel Methodist Church. When she moved to Phoenix she joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Maggie L Coleman, age 81, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona. Magie was born February 7, 1931 in Gilliam, Louisana to Lucinda Murray-Hughes and Tom Hughes. In 1952, Maggie moved to Yuma, Arizona and then relocated to Phoenix in 1970 where she resided until her passing.

She was a long time member of the Helping Hand Club in Yuma, Arizona. She united in Christ at an early age and while living in Yuma she became a member of Phillips Chapel Methodist Church. When she moved to Phoenix she joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

Maggie was blessed with nine children, two which preceded her in death. Her children are Odessa Gilmore (Vernie) of Yuma, Arizona; James Henderson Jr. (Jean) of Springhill, Louisiana; Vergie Tisdel (Ernest) of Phoenix, Arizona; Clarence R. Coleman (Louise) of Fayette, Mississippi; Mary Coleman preceded her in death; Elaine Jones (Reggie) of Phoenix, Arizona; Melinda Phifer (Matthew) of Phoenix, Arizona; Kendra McClain of Phoenix, Arizona; and Sheron Coleman preceded her in death. She is survived by twenty eight Grandchidren; forty one Great Grandchildren; and two Great Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her adopted daughter Veoria Williams; three sisters Ledorah Jackson of Phoenix, Arizona; Sally Mae Jenkins of Shreveport. Louisiana; Elizabeth Madison of Yuma, Arizona; and one brother Robert Hughes of Yuma, Arizona, as well as a host of relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary 719 North 27th Avenue Phoenix,
Arizona from 6 PM to 8 PM in the mortuary chapel. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Greenwood Memory Lawn Serenity Mausoleum Chapel 2300 West Van Buren Street (located on the cemetery grounds at the North East end of the cemetery property) at 11 AM. Interment to follow in Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery
