A funeral Mass will be at noon Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, in St. Mary Magdalene (Madeleine) Catholic Church for Frances H. Houston, who died Sept. 10 at age 91. Recitation of the rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, in Zeller Chapel of the Roses.
Frances H. Johnson was born Jan. 13, 1913, in Portland, where she lived all her life. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy and was a self-employed interior decorator. She also taught adult education classes. In 1939, she married George "Les"; he died in 1981.
Survivors include her daughter, Franlie Johnson; and three grandchildren. Her son, George L., died in 1996.
