Mr. Murray was born on Tuesday, April 24, 1945 in Columbus, to the late L.E. and Willeen Reid Murray. He was a member of the East Columbus Church of Christ and a 1964 graduate of S.D. Lee High School. Wayne served in the Mississippi National Guard (A Battery, 2nd Battalion, 114th Field Artillery). He was a retired employee of Refrigeration Supply Company in Columbus.

Three Brothers: Mike Murray (Guin), Woodstock, AL Gary Murray (Sandra), Columbus, MS Craig Murray (Debbie), Columbus, MS The Pallbearers will be: Charles Patrick, Steve Chism, Paul Rast, Dennis Jones, Steven Murray, and Ed Williams
