BRYANT On August 23, 2012, Tom went to be with his Lord and Savior after a very short battle with cancer. Praise God for Hospice of El Paso and their staff. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. God broke our hearts to prove that He only takes the best. Tom was born in Waco, Texas, and came to El Paso in 1964 to work for an uncle and attend UTEP. He taught high school Biology for many years with EPISD and also was a counselor and an assistant principal. He retired from education in June, 2011. Tom married Carolyn Crouch in 1969 and they owned and operated roller skating rinks in El Paso from 1970 to 1985. From 1985 to the present, he worked in the travel business and was a Master-Cruise-Counselor with Sun Travel. He and Carolyn have escorted clients all over the world during the past 25 years, Tom loved collegiate football (especially UT) almost as much as life. He was an awesome roller-dance skater and ballroom dancer. He had a tremendous love for his religion, his church, and his God. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carolyn, his two brothers, Lee Daniel Bryant of Spicewood, Texas and Billy Jo Bryant of Sierra Vista, Arizona. He has numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. The Bryant Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East. Funeral Service will be Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with lunch following service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 7000 Edgemere Blvd., El Paso, TX 79925.
