h/o Elizabeth F Peppers.

Birth: in Kentucky.

Removed from Kentucky to Missouri sometime before 1841.

Census: 1850, age 50, Franklin county, Missouri with wife & four children.

Census: 1860, age 58 Prairie township, Franklin county, Missouri with wife & nine children

On OCT 1, 2013 misasking submitted following, to wit:

"On the 1860 census, it shows that William C and Elizabeth Bailey have another child that you do not show. Ellen Bailey is 6 months old, so she was maybe born around Mar 1860. Also, Benjamin Milton is only 2 yrs old on the 1860 census. He is my G-Grandfather and his birthdate was 24 Mar 1859 (not 1849). His headstone also shows 1859. You did a great job on the Memorial pages for the family. I haven't looked at the Find A Grave pages for this part of my family for a while. You have done a lot of work. Great job."

Removed family to Granby, Newton county, Missouri, likely (?) following the Civil War in which he reportedly served the Union as a private, to where his first born son, zinc miner, Capt John Carroll Bailey had moved and where Wm reportedly died in 1873.

Census: 1870 Grandby, Newton county, Missouri with wife & five of their ten known children.

My father's namesake and uncle James Luke, had also migrated from the tin mines of Cornwall, England to the lead mines of Granby in 1874.

Death: reportedly in Granby, Newton county, Missouri, with burial in "Old Granby cemetery", said to now be an "Odd Fellows cemetery".

Father: Elijah Bailey (1775-1840).
Mother: Sarah Jackman.

Marriage: Elizabeth F Peppers b: 1818 Franklin county, Missouri.
Married: 24 OCT 1841 Franklin county, Missouri.

Known Children

Sarah Jane Bailey b: about 1842 Franklin county, Missouri.

John Carroll Bailey b: 9 MAR 1844 Franklin county, Missouri.

Elijah Jackman Bailey b: about 1846 Franklin county, Missouri.

Mary Ellen Bailey b: about 1848 Franklin county, Missouri.
