Johnny C. "Boe" Hunter, 60, of Hewett, was born September 22, 1952. at Madison, a son of the late Walter and Loretta Ferrell Hunter. He departed this life Monday, February 11, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Hunter was disabled, having worked for Samson Maytag and Logan Manufacturing.

Also preceding him in death was his wife, Stella Ann Hunter; daughter, Sharon Paula Dingess; brother, Ronnie Walter; sister-in-law, Louise Hunter, and brother-in-law, Mark Tomblin.

Survivors include his daughters, Shawn (Ronny) Collins of Chapmanville, Taunya (Scotty) Hager of Ethel and Lisa (J.J.) Richards of Crawley Creek, Chapmanville; brothers, Tommy (Kathy) Hunter of Hewett and Donnie Hunter of Pecks Mill; sisters, Carmel (Gene) Mitchell of Switzer, Esta (Billy) Akers of Justice Addition, Peggy Tomblin (Timmy Tomblin) of Omar, Loretta Lynn (Johnny) Tomblin of Verdunville, and Becky Hunter of Crooked Creek; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler and Summer Collins, Dustin Doss, Nicholas and Kaleb McNeely and Dylan and Dominik Corrick, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 17, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Roscoe Chafin and Mr. Earl Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Raines Cemetery at Phico.

Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
