ODELL - The Funeral Of George J. Puffer, 85, of 720 Westwood Drive, Ottawa, formerly of Odell, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Duffy Funeral Home, Odell.

The Rev. Richard Huckins will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Odell.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Puffer died at 10 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 23, 1993) at Ottawa Community Hospital.

He was born March 2, 1908, in Odell, a son of Everett and Christina Forsythe Puffer. He married Gladys Chasteen April 23, 1936, in Joliet. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Bill, Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Clarence, Dwight, and Verne, South Pasadena, Fla.; one sister, Gladys Klumka, Chicago; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son and one brother.

Mr. Puffer was a welder for GM Electro Motive in LaGrange for 23 years, retiring in 1970.

He was a member of Odell United Methodist Church and was a past member of Cicero Moose Lodge.
