Mrs. Gibbs was born September 5, 1922 in Salem to Escal and Ella (Moses) Stricklin. She married Farris Gibbs August 14, 1947. They were the parents of two daughters. Mrs. Gibbs died February 14, 2013 in Jefferson City at the age of 90 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Margaret Grogan and husband, Don, Jefferson City; and Mary Curl and husband, Cecil, Osage Beach; sister, Louise Sutton, Salem; three grandchildren, Brian Crosby and wife, Shannon, Springfield; Robin Crosby, Honolulu, Hawaii; and Travis Grogan and wife, Marisa, Shawnee, Kan.; and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Tate.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; and brother, Eugene Stricklin.
Mrs. Gibbs attended the Capitol City Christian Church, Jefferson City.
