Russian poet, born in Zhytomyr. After graduating from high school in Vladimir, in 1916 entered the Kiev Institute of Commerce. The outbreak of the revolution has completely changed the life of the poet. He is an active participant in the events taking place in the country, one of the first organizers of the Youth in Petrograd and Moscow, the editor of the newspaper "Red Youth" Komsomol workers at various positions. His poetic talent, he also gave to the cause of revolution. In 1918, in the press appeared his first poem. Soon he publishes collections of poems - "October Dawns" (1920) and "To the Sun" (1921). In 1923 - 26 takes an active part in the activities of RAPP (Russian Association of Proletarian Writers), works in the "On Guard" (organ RAPP). Bezymensky belonged to the Komsomol poets of the 1920s - many of his poems are devoted Komsomol ("Young Guard", 1922 poem "Komsomol", 1924, etc.). "Young Guard", set to music, became the anthem of the Komsomol. In 1923 he left his position as editor of the newspaper "Red Youth" and returns to the poetry. In these years, come as popular at the time verses as "The hat", "The boots", "smells like life," etc., the poem "Lenin", "Felix", "War stories" and others. Bezymensky in his works always responded to the most topical events in the country. During the war he was in the Soviet Army as a correspondent, going from Moscow to Prague, where he ended the war. The years and events are reflected in the book of poems "Front Notebook". After the war, he continued his literary activity ("The Ballad of the table," a cycle of satirical poems, poem, "Stronger than the atomic bomb", etc.). Poetry, satire, epic, journalistic poetry - such is his musical legacy.
