Kenneth Wayne "Catfish" Bass, 55, of Barnes Avenue, Thomaston, Ga., died on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013. Mr. Bass was a native of Upson County, Ga.

He was employed as a heavy equipment operater with Upson County Roads Department and was a member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sharlene Bass; two daughters, Ginger Bass (Jimmy) Westerfield of Loganville, Ga., and Kandice Bass Pitts and Jim Merchant of Thomaston; five sisters, Ann (Frank) Stokes of Griffin, Janet Gore of Thomaston, Ga., Linda (Marvin) Vanderventer of Tennessee, Roo (Tim) Moran of Gladewater, Texas and Diane Putnum of Warner Robins, Ga.; three brothers, George (Sandy) Garrison of West Union, Basil (Lola) Flournoy of Jackson, Ga., and Larry Bass of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
