Ralph Franklin Gallihar Sr., 81, formerly of Gallihar Lane, died Thursday at Greeneville West Life Care Center.

Mr. Gallihar was a retired local truck driver.

He was a member of East Greene Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Ella Mae Gallihar; a daughter and son-in-law: Peggy and Ralph Morrow, and a son and daughter-in-law: Ralph Gallihar Jr., and his wife, Phyllis Gallihar, all of Greeneville; four grandchildren: Cinda Byrd, Barry Winters, Kim Hawkins, and Jeff Gallihar; seven great-grandchildren: Gavin Hawkins, Garred Hawkins, and Jessica Gallihar, all of Greeneville, and Jessica Winters, Emily Winters, Dawn Jennings, and Mandy Byrd, all of Johnson City; two sisters: Ruby Raby and Estelle Burnette, and a brother: Junior Gallihar, all of Sweetwater; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a son of the late James and Geneva Gallihar and was preceded in death by a son: Jarvis Gallihar; three sisters: Edith Raby, Elsie Gallihar, and Reva Gallihar; and four brothers: Vernon Gallihar, Douglas Gallihar, Bill Gallihar, and Ernest Gallihar.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Jonas Revis and the Rev. D.C. Byrd will officiate.

A graveside service will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

The family will meet at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Friends are asked to meet in the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Hawkins, Jeff Gallihar, Barry Winters, Darryl Byrd, Paul Belcher, and James Harmon.
