Marion Green Hill was born in 1867 in Newton County, Arkansas, to William Hill and Rebecca Mandy Wilburn Slusher Hill. He was one of three children born to this couple, although both parents had several children from previous marriages.

Marion married Nancy Caroline Aday in 1885, and eventually settled down in Winslow, Arkansas, and had 7 children although 2 died in infancy. Their living children: William Horatio Hill (b. Evergreen Cemetery, Paris, TX), Sarah Rebeca Hill Barnes Snow (b.Cleburne County Memorial Park, Heber Springs, AR), Columbus Harrison Hill (b.Cleburne County Memorial Park, Heber Springs, AR), Emmitt Mack Hill (b. Willis Cemetery, Greenfield, AR), and John Richard Hill (b. Tulip Cemetery, Tulip, AR). (The 1900 Census shows that Nancy had 7 children, and 5 lived. One of the 2 that died was John Richard Hill's twin sister. The other is as yet unknown.)

In 1903-04, Marion and Nancy went through a divorce, and Marion married Sarah Jane Gregory (Jones?) McElhaney in 1905. (Sadly, Nancy became sick and died in 1910.)

Marion and Sarah, with Sarah, Columbus, and John, as well as two of Sarah's children, Jessie and Elsie, moved to Everidge, OK, where Marion was working for a lumber company in Stringtown, OK, as a laborer. Daughter Sarah, who had married, been widowed and married again, had moved back to northern Arkansas, while Marion and his wife Sarah, Columbus and his now wife Jessie, moved to south Texas, to the Hidalgo/Raymondville area.

Marion died in 1925, and Sarah died in 1939. Sarah is buried in the Raymondville Cemetery, and (as of 2/13/13) Marion's gravesite location is as yet unknown, suspected to also be in the Raymondville Cemetery.
