Clark Oland Nicholson of Centreville, Md., died at his home of congestive heart failure on Thursday, November 3, 2005. He was 86.

Born June 21, 1919 in Dickerson, Md., he was the youngest child of the late Arthur Purnell and Susie V. Oland Nicholson. He spent his youth raising chickens and working on neighboring farms. Following his discharge in San Diego, he returned to Maryland and resumed a lifelong career with Southern States Cooperative. In 1960 he moved to Centreville, Md., to become a partner in Wilson Feed and Grain Company. After that he accomplished his lifelong dream of becoming a full time farmer raising chickens, grain and produce until he retired.

Mr. Nicholson is survived by his wife of 63 years, Geraldine (Day) Nicholson, and his daughter, Linda Kay Nicholson. He was preceded in death by his brothers Baker and Douglas.
