He was born on May 18, 1925, at Glenwood, the son of Horace Barnett and Vera Taylor Barnett. On September 23, 1958, he was married to Charlene Mitchell Barnett who preceded him in death on January 30, 2009.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he received the WWII victory metal; was a retired truck driver for Thrash Butane; and was Christian in his faith.
He has no immediate survivors.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 13, 2013, in the Mount Tabor Cemetery with Bro. Josh Harper officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
