Tim Collins, 64, died Aug. 7, 2004, at his home in Cody with his wife and friends by his side.

He was born Sept. 10, 1939, in Canarsie, Brooklyn, N.Y., to John and Elvira Collins.

He served in the Navy 1956-60, and then moved to Covina, Calif., where he started a long, happy career with General Telephone. He loved being a telephone man.

He met the love of his life, Nancy, and they were married June 1, 1975. They retired and moved to Cody in 1991.

Mr. Collins loved traveling and woodwork. Many friends in Cody have one of his beautiful birdhouses.

He returned to Cody in 2002 and planned to live here for the rest of his life.


His smile and laughter will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, beloved son Timothy of Las Vegas, aunt Jeannette Easley of Cody, sisters Alice Krickel of Mission Viejo, Calif., Rosebud (Bill) Dooley of Abingdon, Md., Valerie (Anthony) Muzo of Brentwood, N.Y., Elvira (Tom) Mastersimone of Queens, N.Y., and Doreen Collins of Levittown, N.Y., brother Joseph Collins of Rockaway, N.Y., goddaughters Maureen Whitt of Dallas, Ga., Devon Sharrah of Shreveport, La., Claire Reilly of Salt Lake City, and Kaitlyn McKenna Overfield of Cody, various nieces and nephews and friends around the world, including two special friends who were close to his heart - Steven Overfield and Patrick Calkin of Cody.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Martha, brother Jack, and godfather and brother-in-law Freddie Krickel.

A vigil will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Saint Anthony Catholic Church. Memorial mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at Saint Anthony's.
