Obituary "The Hartford Courant" 1906 Hartford, CT
George M Abbey, one of Chester's prominent citizens, died Friday morning after an illness of about nine weeks with enlargement of the heart. Mr Abbey was born in Chester 71 years ago, the son of Mr and Mrs Julius Abbey. With the exception of about four years, some ten years ago, which he spent in Hartford, Mr Abbey spent his entire life in his native town.
He was a carpenter by trade and followed this occupation until compelled to give up on account of ill health.
Beides a widow, who before her marriage was Miss Lois Brooks, he is survived by:
