Clara C. Chavez

Clara Chavez, 97, is resting with our Father in heaven. Clara passed away peacefully in her beloved home in Flagstaff, Arizona on Feb. 12, 2013. Clara and husband, Alfredo along with seven children came to Flagstaff in 1950 .
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfredo of 83 years and three children, Cresencio Chavez, Kellie Frazier and Annie Valdivia as well as eight grandchildren.
She is survived by five children. Trini Valverde of Flagstaff ,Edna Hochdoerfer, of Atlanta, Ga., Libor Chavez (Pauline) of Flagstaff, Larry Chavez of Washington, UT, and Vangie Chatt of Gilbert Az. She also survived by twenty grandchildren. Chris Frazier of Las Vegas, NV, Bobbi Frazier of Missouri, Cregg Frazier of Ventura ,CA Michael Valdivia of Phoenix, AZ. Vickie Sandoval of Prescott Valley AZ, Eddie and Shaun Valverde of Phoenix AZ, Angelique Kotz and Rene Hochdoerfer, Atlanta, GA, Aaron, Amber and Anjolie Chavez of Flagstaff AZ, Jacqueline Juan of Washington, UT, Clara Chavez of Camp Verde, AZ, Elizabeth Ann Steinhaus of Casper WY, Tracy Spungin of Chicago, IL, Alfred, Timothy, Jacob and James Contreras of Gilbert AZ, and Many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
Until her decline in health, Clara was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe church. Attended masses every Sunday and prayed the rosary on a daily basis. She enjoyed traveling, bingo, casino hopping and of course cooking for all her loved ones.
She will greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
