He married Margaret "Marge" Stegen on 18 Jan 1953 in Dubuque; they were the parents of Vicki, Connie, and Amy.
They lived in Charles City, where Kenny worked for White Tractor, and then in Milwaukee, WI, where he was a machinist for Ladish Manufacturing. They later moved back to Waukon and Kenny worked at the Waukon Creamery and for 25 years at the HyGrade Meat Packing Plant in Postville. His last positions were in the maintenance department at the Waukon Junior High School, the Allamakee County Courthouse and Robey Memorial Library.
