Simeon R. Line
Nov. 10, 1840
She was the daughter of Isaac and Rachael Beaver was born in Champaign, Co., Ohio, Feb. 9, 1822, and departed this life Feb. 2, 1898 age 75 years 11 months and 21 days. While still young or about the age of 17 she received a hope in Christ as her Savior, but did not unite with the church until about 2 years after her marriage to Simeon R. Line, which occured Nov. 10, 1840, always saying that she wished that her life-companion and herself should agree in religious belief, her wish in this being entirely fulfilled. She lived with her husband until his death, over 54 years. In Dec. 1853 they came to Indiana. Sister Line was a steadfast believer in the doctrine of salvation by grace and though her last days were full of suffering she said, "My strength is weak, but my faith is strong," often expressing her wish to die and leave this world of suffering; and when the end came near, her suffering which had been constant for so many weeks, seemed to leave her for a short time and she passed away as though she was only going to sleep. Let us hope that she has already experienced that joyful awakening which comes to those that die in the Lord.
