Joseph Robert Booth 60 Long time Alamogordo resident Joseph Robert Booth Long time Alamogordo resident died at Home on february 20,2004, of cancer. Joe Booth was bom at Home in Lowery Arkansas on june 17, 1943, to EC and Ravenel Raley Booth. Joe enlisted in the United states air Force in 1961, retiring in 1989 after 28 years of service with the rank of E-8. He then distributed Mac tools sold used cars at c amp d autos and finally moved household goods As a Driver for a number of years. Joe served As a Deacon at first Baptist Church for Many years. He was an or a member and a Strong supporter of the second amendment. He loved a rousing political debate enjoyed Riding motorcycles and was skilled at restoring old beat up guns and knives. Booth is survived by his wife of the family home,Louise Booth, two children and their spouses Allen C. Booth and wife Tammi, of Alamogordo and Starla R. Lester and husband Paul of Las Cruces, his Mother of Omaha, Arkansas, two Sisters Verlena Booth of Omaha, Arkansas and Linda Skaggs of Clinton, Missouri; three Brothers: Pat Booth of Omaha, Arkansas; Tim Booth of Kirksville Missouri and Mike Booth of Rogers Arkansas; three grandchildren and five Step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services for Booth will be held at tuesday February 24, First Baptist Church Of Michigan with pastor Charles Hanks officiating. Interment will follow at Bliss National cemetery. Pallbearers Are Ken Wilson, Harold Bentley George Roddy Don Demaria Myron Cowell and ____ Scoggin. Honorary pallbearers Are the deacons at first Baptist Church. Friends May Call at Sears Alamogordo funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm monday february 23.
