Carolyn Byers Gilbert, age 86, of Lincolnton, was a daughter to the late J.T. and Idella Leonard Byers. She was also predeceased by her husband, Robert Gilbert; son, Robbie Gilbert; brothers, Wendel Byers and Alton Byers; sisters, Loyce Dellinger, Janet Schronce, and Conette Heavner.
She was a long-time member of Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church. Carolyn was the owner and operator of Carolyn's Beauty Shop for over sixty years.
