HUGH KENNETH HOWELL of 717 Pearce, Memphis, Tennessee, a house painter, died at 2:30 a.m. yesterday morning at his home. He was 62. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon at the graveside in West Union Cemetery near Millington, Tennessee with National Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Howell, a lifelong Memphian, was a World War I veteran. His wife, Mrs. Beatrice Howell, died about five years ago.
Mr. Howell leaves a son, Boyce Barry Howell of Old Hickory, Tennessee; two brothers, Elton Howell and James Otto Howell; and, two sisters, Mrs. Alma Gee and Mrs. Aileen Woodbury, all of Memphis, Tennessee. ~~~ THE COMMERCIAL APPEAL, Memphis, TN, Dec. 2, 1956, page 27
