Services for James Leland DeFoor, 56, carpenter, will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. E.B. Bowen and the Rev. Lowell Adams officiating. Burial will be in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery. Mr. DeFoor died Friday evening at Memphis Hospital after a long illness.
He was a 32nd degree Mason, a veteran of WWII, having served in the Navy, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Kathleen Patrick DeFoor of Bolivar; a son, Jerry Leland DeFoor of Bolivar; a daughter, Mrs Patricia Shelby of Memphis; a brother, Lynell Eugene DeFoor of Pine Bluff, Ark.; a sister, Mrs. Ann Godby of Flint, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
