Mrs. Jacqueline Harris Leonard, 79, resident of Greensboro, died February 10th, 2013 at Graybrier Nursing and Retirement Center.
Mrs. Leonard was born September 11th, 1933 in Randolph County, a daughter to the late Jack B. and Donnie York Harris. A resident of this area 69 years, she attended Jamestown High School and retired from Sears & Roebuck. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. On March 12th, 1954 she married Paul Raymond Leonard Sr. who preceded her in death on November 30th, 2009. She was a wonderful mother who loved her family deeply.
Surviving is a daughter, Debbie Alwran and husband Blain of Greensboro; a son, Paul Leonard and wife Patricia of Archdale; four grandchildren, Kirk Barefoot, Kyle Barefoot, Donald Leonard and wife Amanda and Jason Leonard and wife Beka; three great-grandchildren, Brady, Eli and Rhyce Leonard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Woods, Rev. Buddy Fox and Rev. Stuart Noel officiating. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC 27262.
