Kathryn was employed a number of years with the former Jay-El Manufacturing Company, Fleetwood. She was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shoemakersville, and a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fleetwood.
Kathryn was a member of the International Woman's Garment Workers Union and a member of the American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary. As a young woman, she enjoyed going to the races. Later in life, she enjoyed bus trips, crocheting, knitting, spending time with her husband and babysitting her grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, two stepchildren, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, five step-grandchildren and two, stepgreat-grandchildren. Kathryn was predeceased by a stepson, and three brothers, George N. Barrell, Lede H. Barrell and Ray N. Barrell. Burial will be in St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Richmond Twp.
