William Alter obituary
Willian N. Alter, 84, 612 Wabash Ave., Marion, died at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday at Marion Emily Flynn Home.
A native of Columbia City, he had lived in Marion most of his life. He was a retired employee of Lindley Paper and Box Company and was a member of the Central Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Albert (Elizabeth) Jones, Jonesboro; two sons, Robert, Walnut Creek, Calif., and Ralph, Scottsdale, Ariz.; 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Needham and Son Funeral Home, 814 S. Adams St., Marion, with the Rev. Ned Gillum officiating. Burial will be in Marion IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
