Forest S. Denton, son of Bernice Evelyn Strange Denton and the late Hershell B. Denton, was born in Flora, Illinois on April 12, 1944. He passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on February 10, 2013, at the age of 68 years.

He was first married in 1965, to Diane Sullivan in Louisville, Illinois and three children were born. In 2001, he married Wanda Hart in Bloomfield, Missouri.

He had lived in and around Flora, Illinois most of his life until moving to Puxico twelve years ago. He had worked as an electrician and plumber and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Surviving are his wife; Wanda Denton; two daughters, Shirley Acree and Tina Kilgore; one son, Tracy Denton; one step-daughter, Anita Weedman; one step-son, Keith Moore, nine grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren; four sisters, Sharon Atchison, Karen Denton, Terri Ettleson, and Toni Carder. Other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father and one nephew, Bryce Ettleson.

Visitation was held at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri, and later at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora, Illinois.

Funeral services were held at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora, Illinois with Bro. Jeff Hough of Johnsonville, Illinois officiating.

Interment was in the Bunker Cemetery near Rinard, Illinois.
