Helen Elizabeth Russell, 88, of Gratiot, died at 3:08 P.M. on Monday, February 11, 2013, at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born March 1, 1924, in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Ray and Jesse Dalrymple Bichard.

She worked as a cashier for Thrift Drug and as a dispatcher for Nicholson Refrigeration, and was a member of Brownsville Methodist Church.

Surviving are
her beloved husband of 66 years, Harold Russell, whom she married September 22, 1946;
a daughter, Nancy Phillis of Gratiot;
a son, Timothy Russell of Frazeysburg;
five grandchildren, Samantha (Rick) Hydell, Morgan (Ray) Adams, Jody (Jen) Russell, Jennifer Russell, and Timothy Jared (Crystal) Russell;
seven great grandchildren;
three great-great grandchildren;
a sister, Virginia Bichard of Zanesville;
special family friend, Dawn (Jack) Fitch of Coshocton;
a special dog companion, Greta.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Richard Dale Bichard.

Funeral service at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville with Pastor Thomas Uppole officiating. Burial in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
