Musician. A talented Scottish guitarist with an early feel for the blues. A member of several bands between 1965 to 1972, among them; The Alex Harvey Soul Band, Blues Council, Cartoone, and most notably as guitarist and cofounding member of Stone the Crows. He was well known for his improvisational bluesy style of guitar playing, flawlessly weaving gut-wrenching rock riffs and delicate, subdued and soulful notes. In 1969 while playing with Cartoone, the band was the opening act for Led Zeppelin's U.S. tour. While performing with Stone the Crows, he died while onstage at Swansea Top Rank in 1972, electrocuted when he touched an ungrounded microphone with his wet hands. [Bio by: Michael]
