He died unexpectedly on June 24, 2002.
Chet graduated from Rainier High School where he competed in sports such as the 300m Hurdles and the high jumps, he graduated in 1984 and immediately joined the U.S. Army where he made many life-long friends. Chet proudly served for 18 years in the US Army. He was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War.
While he continued his military career he also completed the carpentry program at Bates College in 1990 and became a member of Carpenters Union Local 470.
However in 1997 he became co-owner of Advantage Collision Center in Yelm Wa with his brother.
Chet was also a cancer survivor in or around 1998.
Chet was a fun-loving man who enjoyed spending time with people he cared about, he also enjoyed playing his guitar from an early age on into adulthood,spending many hours playing with his brother, he also enjoyed activities such as running, even running in the Capital City Marathon just a month prior to his untimely passing, as well as hiking Mount Rainier taking in and enjoying the local wildlife. Chet also enjoyed snowboarding and riding his Harley.
Preceded in death by brother Wayne Eric Carli, native to Washington state, who was born Apr 8, 1968 and died unexpectly on May 21, 1987 in Ventura, CA at age 19. The brothers are in a shared plot together.

Chet was a multi-talented person who profoundly touched many lives and left a lasting impression on everyone who ever met him. He will always be missed very much by those that knew and love him.
Chet fathered and is survived by a daughter and a son both of Washington State.
