In 1942, Janice met her husband, Lester, when she was a waitress at the old streetcar diner at Cherry Hill, and he was a military highway patrolman in the Army. They married on August 27, 1944 in Salt Lake City, and later moved to Texas, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, California (28 years) and back to Utah for the past 25 years. Janice was always very active and enjoyed camping, waterskiing, fishing, bowling, roller-skating, gardening, cooking, canning, sewing, crocheting, and especially her music.
