Johanna "Jo" A. Weber, age 80, of New Holstein, formerly of rural Kiel died Sunday morning, February 10, 2013 at Homestead Care Center, New Holstein. She was the former Jo Mueller, born January 13, 1933 in Charlesburg, daughter of the late Walter & Lucille (Freund) Mueller. Jo attended Charlesburg Catholic School. On October 26, 1968 she married Joseph Weber in Charlesburg. She had worked at Kohler Company for a short period of time before working together with Joe on their farm in the Town of Meeme. After her retirement she worked for Cleveland Family Restaurant and Piggly Wiggly in Kiel. Jo enjoyed ice fishing, especially trips to Minnesota. She loved to travel and go up north camping. She had a green thumb and was able to grow beautiful flowers and vegetables. Jo loved to watch and participating in all kinds of sports. She also enjoyed her pets, including her pigs on the farm. She loved to have fun and was always up for a practical joke. Survivors include her husband, Joe, New Holstein, two daughters, Debbie (Greg) Pautz, Brillion, Sharon (Timothy) Genske, rural Kiel and four grandchildren: Miriah & Cody Pautz and Ethan & Trevor Genske. She is further survived by her brother & sisters; Elaine Mertens, New Holstein, Merlin (Ruth) Mueller, Fond du Lac, Judy Schmitz, Chilton, and Shirley (John) Pickart, Johnsburg. She is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Rodney and brother-in-law, Elmer Mertens. The funeral Mass for Johanna will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein with Rev. Harold Berryman officiating. Burial will take place in School Hill. Family and friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St., Kiel on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 pm and at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Thursday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Jo's family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Homestead Care Center and Dr. Michael Hetzner & staff for the wonderful care she received.
