IDA (COLEMAN) COLEMAN
Ida Coleman was born on July 23, 1887, in Pike, Kentucky. Her parents were Daniel and Mary (Dotson) Coleman. She had three brothers: William Ferrell "W.F.", Ransom B., and James Lewis, three sisters: Nancy Caroline "Sis", Louisa Catherine, and Mary Almedia. After both her parents passed away, she was raised by her sister, Nancy "Sis".
Ida married Joe B Coleman on July 14, 1904. They had nine children in 24 years: Elijah "Lige", Ella, John, Bob, Bessie, Willie, Roland, Mae, and Mabel Lee.
Ida died on October 13, 1964, at her daughter Ella's home in Edgarton, Mingo County, West Virginia, at the age of 77, and was buried in Phelps, Kentucky. Note: Edgarton is now known as Delorme, W. Virginia.
