Nobility. Born the eldest daughter of Duke Johann III. of Jülich-Kleve-Berg and Maria of Jülich-Berg. She married Johann Friedrich of Saxony in 1526. During her husband's imprisonment, the couple exchanged several letters that speak of their great love. They were reunited after his release in 1552 and lived in Weimar. They died within a month of each other and were buried together.
