Fortunan Duane E. Hartman, 20, was killed in an Army tank mishap March 21, 1965. He was stationed at Bamberg, Germany with the Armored Division at the time of the accident.
Duane was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hartman. He graduated from Fortuna Union High School in 1962. Survivors include two brothers and two sisters, all of Fortuna, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Hartman of Visalia.
Services were under the direction of Goble’s Fortuna Mortuary. Interment in Exeter in the family plot.
