Linda Kay Burch Church, 68, of Hickory, passed away unexpectedly on February 7th, 2013 at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Linda was born on May 11th, 1944 in Charleston, SC where her father was serving in the US Army but has resided in Catawba Co. all of her life. She was the daughter of Lois Burch and the late Jack Burch. Linda graduated from St. Stephens High School in 1962 and was a member of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. Her career began working at Westmont School and later joined the Catawba Co. Sherriff Dept. where she retired after 29 years. She also worked part-time for Dietz Taylor.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a sister, Terri Ann Burch.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday February 11th, 2013 at Bass-Smith Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Ryan Ray. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
