Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Wilkes was born May 23, 1930 in Hazlehurst, Georgia to the late Willie Oscar and Nora Gladys Hazel Wilkes.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War Era.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son: Joe Irwin Young, Jr.
