Lois L. DeLong, 80, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Graham. A Memorial service will be held Monday, February 11, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in First United Methodist Church Newcastle. Burial will be held prior to the service in Newcastle Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Lois was the daughter of Antone Tribune and William Edna (Stevens) Smith. She married James DeLong, January 7, 1950 in Wichita Falls. Lois was a retired nurse's aide, housewife and longtime resident of Graham. She was also an artist and nationally published poet. She was a member of Newcastle Methodist Church.
Survivors at time of death included her husband, James E. DeLong of Graham; daughter, Margaret Fulbright and husband John of Graham; sons, David DeLong of Graham and Andy Delong and wife Vicki of Denton; grandchildren, Thomas, Lindsey, and Jordan Allen, Emily Grivon, Alex DeLong, Jane Snyder, Chris Norris, Angie Roznovsky, Kenneth, Vickie and Lori Fulbright; 18 great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as a niece Gloria Smith Bragg, her daughter and granddaughter.
The Family will receive visitors at Morrison Funeral Home Monday from 1:00 until service time Monday.
