Augusta Ellen Rasch, the
child of Nels Nelsen and Erma
Messenbring Nelsen, was born
at Newell, Iowa, on June 21,
1899. She was received into
the Kingdom of God through
the Sacrament of Holy Baptism
in Nain Lutheran Church,
Newell, on July 23, 1899.
Through the rite of confirmation
she was received into
the communicant membership
of the Lutheran Church in St
Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort
Dodge, Iowa. On October 18,
1922, she was united in holy
matrimony to Edmund Rasch,
also of Fort Dodge. This union
was blessed with four
children, Ruth, Robert, Joyce
and Charles. Mrs Rasch was
a faithful wife and devoted
mother. For many years she
along with her husband was
a faithful member of St Peter's
Lutheran Church, Newell.
She was preceded in death by
her parents and one infant sister. Several weeks ago illness made it necessary for
her to be taken to the Buena
Vista County hospital. Last
Monday morning, August 29,
quite suddenly, the Lord
chose to call her to her eternal
reward.
