Funeral services for Ms. Opal Jowers Wood, age 88, are scheduled for 12p.m., on Monday, February 11, 2013 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Woods and Bro. Steve Wilkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Hare Cemetery.
Mrs. Wood passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 in Lexington, TN. She was born October, 19, 1924 in Henderson County to the late Al Jowers and Cluster Moore Jowers. She was a homemaker and former owner of Wood's Grocery.
She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Wood and his wife Judy, brother, A.L. Jowers, and sisters, Ruthie Blankenship and Ruby Jowers. Survivors include her grandson, Greg Wood, granddaughters, Teresa (Bob) Morris and Cristy (Joe) Baggett, and sister, Hazel (Howard) McCollum Deaton, and two great grandsons, Cody Morris and Landen Baggett.
Visitation hours are from 9 a.m. til 9 p.m. on Sunday February 10 and from 8 am. til 12 Noon on Monday February 11 at Pafford Funeral Home. Pafford Funeral Home, 731-968-2544.
