Standard-Examiner (Ogden, UT) - November 28, 2007, Deceased Name: Eva Thorsen, BRIGHAM CITY -Eva Riggs Jeppsen Thorsen passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Wellsville, Utah, December 16, 1913, the third of nine children born to Samuel P and Anne Jones Riggs. She married Lyle Jeppsen on January 3, 1934 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Mantua Utah. Lyle passed away on September 2, 1945. Later Eva met and married Clifford Thorsen on January 24, 1949 in Elko, Nevada. They made their home in Bear River City. Clifford passed away on January 11, 1965. Eva was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a member of the Brigham City Central LDS ward. Eva loved playing bingo and going on the senior center bus trips to Wendover. She loved family reunions with barbeques under the large pine tree in her back yard.

She is survived by her children, Charlene (Neil) Oman, Indio, California; Dean Jeppsen, Ogden, Utah; Steven (Esther) Thorsen, Manti, Utah; Don (Jeri) Thorsen, Roy, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, five brothers, and both husbands. The family would like to thank Larry, Tammy, Michelle, and Ashley and all the caregivers at Alpine Hospice for the loving care and friendship they gave to our mother. Mother, we love you and we will miss you. Funeral services will be held Thursday November 29, 2007 at 11 am at Myers Mortuary Chapel in Brigham City, 205 South 100 East. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Myers Mortuary. Interment will be in the Bear River City Cemetery.
