Lillian Gertrude Carmack, 82 of Tuscumbia, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 1, 2008. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with Brother Jerry Edgil officiating. Interment will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Carmack was a native of Lauderdale County and was a member of Washington Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar William Carmack; parents, Homer M. and Lena G. Muse; brothers, Walter Eugene and Roscoe Earl Muse; grandchildren, Timothy Paul, Robert Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Mason Carmack.
Survivors include her sons, James Earl Carmack and wife, Deloris, of Florence, William Thomas Carmack, of Tuscumbia, George Eugene Carmack and wife, Susan, of Florence, Howard Leon Carmack and wife, Chong Ae, of Anniston, Robert Edward Carmack and wife, Lee, of Tuscumbia, Jack David Carmack, of Tuscumbia, and Carlis Lee Carmack, of Muscle Shoals; sisters, Annie "Pat" Solterman and husband, Lowell, of Carbondale, Ill., Juanita Daugherty, of Florence, and Ester Mae Holt, of Center Star; sister-in-law, Clara Muse, of Florence, Sukie Muse, of Rome, N.Y., Patsy J. Carmack, of Tuscumbia; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Carmack, Douglas Carmack, Jason Carmack, Carlis Carmack, George Carmack and Robert Carmack.Arrangements by Greenview Funeral Home..
