He was born May 30, 1937, in Limestone County to George Thomas Bagsby Sr. and Addie Mae Davis Bagsby. He was a lifelong resident of Limestone County and a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Addie Mae Siniard.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Coffman Bagsby; two daughters, Marie Kelley of Athens and Emma Jean Gordon of Elkmont; three sisters, Evelyn Bagsby of Madison, and Rosie Siler and Gen Grissom, both of Athens; three brothers, Leslie Bagsby of Elkmont, Henry Bagsby of Athens and Bobby Bagsby of Nashville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Simpson, Lee Wilson, Brad Kelley, Brandon Siniard, Jason Gordon and Daniel Draper.
