Lee Ernest Benton, 72, of Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Monday, February 04, 2013.

He was born in Steelton the son of the late Clarence and Eva (White) Benton,

Lee was a graduate of Steelton-Highspire High School where he played football.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam.

Lee retired from the former Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania with twenty-two years of service.

In his leisure, he enjoyed watching sports and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by four brothers: Clarence, Jr., Russell, Herbert, and Vernon Benton.

He leaves to celebrate his life, his daughters: Sonya Benton of Harrisburg and Andrea Moss of Crofton, Maryland; his son: Brian Benton, Harrisburg; his two granddaughters: Shaliah and Dominique "Aliyah" Moss; his great-granddaughter: Willow Kirkland; his sister: Bernice "Sis" Bethea, Harrisburg; his brother: Franklin Benton of Charlotte, North Carolina; and, a host of other relatives and friends.

Lee's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 12 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with visitation from 10:30 - 11:00 AM.

Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
