Rudolph V. "Rudy" Aceto 78 of Wintersville, Ohio died Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Trinity West. He was born in Steubenville on December 19, 1926 a son of the late Joseph and Anna Santangelo Aceto.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Alex and Ralph Aceto and two sisters Loretta Ashmead and Patricia Rainakis.

Rudy retired as a bus driver in the transportation department at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Steubenville and an Army veteran of WWII.

Surviving are his wife Antonette Cresta Aceto, whom he married on September 16, 1950; two sons Ralph (Becky) Aceto of Steubenville and Jeffrey Aceto of Wintersville; two daughters Judith Moody of Wintersville and Cathy (Tom) Wright of Toronto; seven grandchildren Justin and Ashley Wright, Nicole, Sean and Ryan Aceto, Jennifer Lash and Bobby Moody; and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Church with Rev. Timothy J. Shannon officiating.

Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Vigil 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct military services.
