Eleanor A. Petrone, 89, of Little Falls, MN passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in Long Prairie, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February, 23, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Mark Innocenti officiating. Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Cemetery in Little Falls. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Friday, February 22nd and from 9 to 10 A.M. Saturday, February 23rd at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (West Chapel) Little Falls. Parish prayers will be said at 7 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home

Eleanor A. Petrone was born January 11, 1919 in Little Falls, MN to the late Joseph and Mary (Novak) Glazek. She grew up in Little Falls, MN and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Grade School and St. Francis High School. Following high school Eleanor worked as a clerk at the Hennepin Paper Company in Little Falls until WWII then moved to Portland, OR employed as a welder in the shipyards. It was there she met her husband Louis Petrone and returned to Little Falls where they were married on September 16, 1946. Eleanor and Louis made their home in Portland, OR. until Louis passed away on October 12, 1974. Eleanor returned to Little Falls, MN in January of 1975 to be near her sister, Helen Gamradt. Eleanor was member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls. She known for her Italian cooking, her specialty was spaghetti and meatballs. Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and in her younger days, volunteering as a mentor for handicap children.

Eleanor is survived by her son, Stephen Petrone, nephews, John and Bill Gamradt; nieces, Michelle Virnig, Judy Smith and Patricia Johnson; three grandchildren, Diandra, Jordan and special grandchild, Morgan and her mother, Heidi Westerman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Petrone; parents, Joseph and Mary (Novak) Glazek; brother, Edward "Paddy" Glazek and sister, Helen Gamradt; niece, Mary Schlichting and nephew, Edward Gamradt, Jr.
