It seems that Raymond P Markham was married according to the military info I found a wife was listed and he was listed as married. Now I am assuming he went to CA and shipped off to Vietnam from there. I have no proof but there was a Raymond P Markham age 19 who married an Evelyn M. Stayrook in CA on Sept 30, 1967. Then it seems she took back her maiden name aft Raymond was killed and married as Evelyn M Stayrook on May 10, 1969 to a Gregory W. Shippie in CA. The listings can be found on Ancestry and the two marriages are right in order.
