Funeral Notice

The funeral services of

THOMAS J. GENTRY

who died in Porum, Okla., Monday, October 18, 1909, will be conducted at the M. E. Church, South, in Shelbyville, Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1909, at 3:30 p.m. Discourse by Rev. F. E. Mosley.

Burial in I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Deceased was born in Kentucky March 31 1863. Aged 46 years, 6 months and 17 days.

Thomas J. Gentry Dead.
Thomas J. Gentry died at Porum, Ok., on Monday, Oct 11, 1909. He was born in Kentucky March 31, 1863, and was aged 46 years, 6 months, 17 days.
A message was received in this city Sunday, that, he was very ill and not expected to live. Another telegram came Monday morning stating that he had died.
Mr. Gentry went to Porum last fall where he invested in real estate and has since made his home at that place.
The deceased had been an active farmer In this county for a number of years up until the time of his wife's death about, two years ago. He was one of the most intelligent and successful farmers of Shelby county at one time, he being well educated and a business man of rare ability.
He united with the Methodist church in this city during the revival meeting conducted by Rev. F. B. Mosley last winter.
He leaves a daughter Miss Lucille, of this city, many relatives and a large circle of friends to mournhbis death.
The funeral services were announced to be held at the Methodist church in this city yesterday afternoon by Rev. F. E. Mosley, but for some reason the body did not arrive at Shelbina until last night. There was no definite time set for the services at the time of our going to press.

A SHELBY COUNTY MAN DIES IN OKLAHOMA.
SHELBINA, Mo., Oct 20.—Telegrams were received here Monday announcing the death at Porum, Okla., of Thomas J.Gentry. The remains are to be taken to Shelbyviile for burial. Mr. Gentry went to Porum during the past summer from Shelbyviile. He leaves a daughter, Miss Lucille, who is studying music in Quincy. His wife died about a year ago. He was aged 46.
