Calvin Richard Soyars, 11, went to be with his Lord at Memorial Hospital in Danville after a fourteen day illness.

He was the son of Thomas Lee Soyars and Georgia Childress Soyars.

Funeral services were conducted at his home on the Martinsville Road by Reverend R J Barber and Reverend P H Richetts. Burial was in the Childress Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Stanley Scearce, Anderson Tarpley, Foster Scearce, Jack Scearce, Carson Hyler, Harold Childress, Harvey Childress and William Moore.
