Goldie Mae Sprague Alvis
Goldie Mae Sprague Alvis, a 33-year resident of California City, CA, passed away on February 9, 2001 at home. She was born on July 5, 1918 in Pennsylvania.
Goldie was a real estate broker for many years in California City and was past director of the Kern Board of Realtors and a board member of the East Kern Hospital District. She had also been a member of the California City Community Players and Women of the Moose.
She leaves a loving family to mourn her, daughter Marlene A. Brown of Safford, AZ; sons Jay H. Sprague of California City, CA, E.G. Jerry Sprague of N. Las Vegas; sisters Hazel Bowen, Evelyn Gee, Dorothy Getchen, all of Antes Fort, PA and Helen Camp of Buffalo, NY, 11 grandchildren and 23 greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Judy Duncan.
Services were held on February 14, 2001 at California City Cemetery with Rev. Ron Sparks officiating.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to any Alzheimer's foundation.
